Common types of extreme weather events:

  2. Tornadoes: Tornadoes are swirling, powerful wind storms that can cause extreme destruction in their vicinity.

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions is critical to limiting the intensity of future extreme weather events and ensuring the safety of communities worldwide.
